About Dulwich Death Cafe - Elsa:
Although I have experienced a lot of loss through out my life and from a very young age, the topic of death has always been fascinating to me. I've taken courses about what death means in different cultures, death rituals and beliefs. Knwing that we are finite has actually helped me lead a better life and appreciate everyday.
What brings you to Death Cafe?
It is so important to have a space space where to talk about death, share our thoughts in a non-judgemental and free place. I really would like to open that conversation and support people to freely talk about their own experience.
What would you like your legacy to be?
I would love for everyone to have the conversation of how they would like to have their life celebrated (there is a reason why the word FUN is in the word FUNeral, right?). Have this conversation in health, you won't live forever and it makes your family or loved ones life easier when that moment comes to pass is they are able to follow your wishes.
Thoughts for sharing:
“Give sorrow words; the grief that does not speak knits up the o-er wrought heart and bids it break.” - William Shakespeare
