To fully explain death,

one must explain the workings of the mind,

and to explain the workings of the mind, one must inevitably explain the mechanics of the universe,

and in doing so, death may be explained away entirely,

merging universe and mind into one which is neither.

I understand the topic of death makes most people uncomfortable, but in gaining a deeper awareness of death and the dying process, we heighten our appreciation and respect for life. A person's lifelong behavior is unwittingly (and wittingly) influenced by their views on death. To deny or ignore death is to distort life.
