About Wangmo (Marilyn) Stoner:

I am a retired hospice nurse and educator. I am dedicated to helping people prepare for their own end of life. I am currently a volunteer for a local hospice working in the bereavement area of care.

It is not necessary to be a Buddhist to attend a Buddhist Death Cafe.

I have provided a link to the Transitional Life Care center which provides a great deal of information on Buddhist end-of-life teachings.

What brings you to Death Cafe?

The Buddhist Death Cafe is a monthly virtual meeting via Zoom that allows for a safe place to ask questions about death, to share stories about the nomad life when you are coping with is a life limiting condition.

I have experience caring for people in their vehicles. Everyone is entitled to patient  care through death.

A peaceful death for someone who lives in their car requires health related knowledge, symptom and medication management.

What would you like your legacy to be?

I've always been committed to helping others understand the dying process.

Thinking about your own death, letting others know what your wishes are helps to ensure your wishes become reality.

Thoughts for sharing:

  • To the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure.
