About Lowcountry Death Café:
Book nerd, dog/cat mom, wife, gardener, baker, garlic lover, Medium, Hospice Volunteer, Death Doula in training. In 2011, I was diagnosed with an uncommon and deadly heart problem that I have had since birth, but unaware of it. On April 22 that year, I died and came back, with the gift to go on living; I did not have a Near Death Experience. Because I had this experience and am a Hospice Volunteer, I think about my own mortality everyday.
What brings you to Death Cafe?
I believe that if we have conversations about death and dying, we can touch the heart of the community. This is a beautiful vision and together we can create this into a reality.
What would you like your legacy to be?
I am stardust, with consciousness. When I leave this world, I hope I will have made a difference in someone's life, however small.
Thoughts for sharing:
To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most peoplx exist; that is all.
--Oscar Wilde
