About Amor Fati Death Cafe:
As someone who has been managing residential properties for 26 years, including an artist residence for the last 10, I have had the privilege of bearing witness to the myriad forms of life and creative expression. In my current role, I oversee the curation and production of live performances and art shows, as well as facilitate various forms of artistic expression within the community. Through my experiences, I've observed how artists often articulate the profound truth of life's impermanence through their creative endeavors. This connection between art and death serves as a poignant reminder of the fragile beauty and transitory nature of our existence.
It has become increasingly clear to me that we are all, in essence, dying every day.
What brings you to Death Cafe?
We tend to approach death with trepidation, viewing it as a distant and daunting eventuality.
Through hosting this Death Cafe, my aim is to foster meaningful conversations that inspire personal growth and encourage acceptance of our mortality as an integral part of life's journey.
What would you like your legacy to be?
Ultimately, I hope to be remembered as a catalyst for transformation in how we view and engage with the inevitability of death.
