About Inspired by Jen:

With over two decades of experience in the medical field,

I am involved in the Death Cafe movement, fostering a supportive environment for these important conversations.

As a licensed Occupational Therapist, Reiki Master, and End of Life Doula, I am offer a compassionate approach when facilitating open and safe conversations.

What brings you to Death Cafe?

The Death Cafe provides a platform for the death positivity movement.

What would you like your legacy to be?

For me, my legacy is:

The family cabin. I was able to secure it for my children and grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

10 years managing the forest and creating sustainable revenue & improving wildlife on the cabin property for future income and quality of forest.

Being the best mom and grandmother I could be.

Teaching & Mentoring students & healthcare professionals in Occupational Therapy & Reiki.

Changing how we approach End of Life Care and normalizing conversations regarding death and dying well in advance.

Thoughts for sharing:

Unconditional love: Elizabeth Kubler Ross MD (1926-2004)

Look forward to your transition.

It is the first time you will experience unconditional love.

There will be all peace and love, and all the nightmares and turmoil you went through in your life will be like nothing.

When you make the transition, you are asked 2 things:

1) How much love you have been able to give and receive?

2) How much service have you rendered?

And you will know every consequence of every deed, every thought, every word, you have uttered.

And that is symbolically speaking, going through hell when you realize how many opportunities you missed.

But you also see how the nice acts of kindness has touched hundreds of lives that you are totally unaware of.

So concentrate on love, while you are still around, and teach your children early unconditional love.

So remember, concentrate on unconditional love, and look forward to the transition.

It is the more beautiful experience you could ever imagine.
