About Fergus Wessel:
I am a letter cutter passionate about hand carved memorials. They are so much more than a piece of stone with wording on. Good design, typography and lots of thought should go in to every individual headstone, and they should all be unique just as each person is unique. I want to raise awareness for hand carved memorials- the market is dominated by large scale monumental masons, and people deserve to know there are options for unique and individual headstones. I have work all over the UK including St Paul's Cathedral and when I am not making memorials, I enjoy heraldic carving, lettering for opening plaques and sundials.
What brings you to Death Cafe?
I hope that in reading my posts you will be able to help spread awareness of the beauty of hand carved memorials and the importance they have when coping with bereavement.
