About Vanessa Johnston:
I am an INELDA-trained End of Life or Death Doula. I am interested in helping people take the subject of death out of the realm of fear and taboo and instead approach it with love and meaning. We can do that by talking with each other and making connections.
What brings you to Death Cafe?
I find that people who are willing to talk about death are the most invested in living a meaningful life. Death Cafes are a shortcut to finding authentic and interesting people.
What would you like your legacy to be?
I would like my legacy to be the idea that just talking about death won't make you DEAD, and that instead the willingness to approach this 100% inevitable milestone means that you have lived your human experience with the most love possible.
