Death Cafe profile for Ángela Barraza
Location: Mexico
About Ángela Barraza:
I am an artist, interpreter and translator, currently working on a project for an alternative funeral home in Mexico City, and about to train to be an undertaker using ecological methods.
I will not use Death Cafe as a way of promotion of my project, I am just interested in the purpose of talking about death.
[How should I present myself at my first session? Should I omit information about my project?]
What brings you to Death Cafe?
I've been gradually approaching the subject of death, from a few years back. I am interested in creating a death positive community.
I've conducted a series of artistic workshops concerning death, and I feel comfortable as a facilitator.
What would you like your legacy to be?
I would like to leave a legacy of an alternative funeral home/cultural space that opens new options for people in Mexico concerning their deaths and of their loved ones.
Thoughts for sharing:
"The purpose of death is the release of love".
