About this Death Cafe

They are both part of BrumYODO a Birmingham based community collective who aim to help our community to know more so that they can make active choices and make a big difference to their lives and deaths.

Death Cafe's are great places to encourage those conversations in non-clinical, comfortable environments. Death is a fact of life – get the conversations out the way; and then carry on living.

This is their first one in the new Kings Heath ArtRooms who are hosting an Art Installation for the Day of the Dead Festival and we're really grateful for the welcome and support.

About Anna Lock and Fran Glover

Anna lives local to this death cafe and works in palliative care.

Fran is a Funeral Director at A Natual Undertaking and sees first hand what families go through if they haven’t had the chance to have the big conversations before someone dies.
