About this Death Cafe
A Death Cafe is a friendly relaxed space where people meet over refreshments to share stories, ask questions and hear different perspectives on topics related to death and dying.
They are not grief or bereavement support groups, but rather interesting and inviting gatherings, held all over the world, to increase our awareness of life as we ponder what we know of death.
There is no agenda other than listening and openly sharing in conversation that is gently facilitated, and is weaved by the questions and sharing of those gathered at tables.
About Sue Timpson-Mannell
Sue Timpson Mannell has facilitated four Death Cafes in Windsor Essex County, the most southern area of Canada. She has previously volunteered with Victims Services of Windsor and Essex County and is a Spiritual and Religious Care volunteer at Erie Shores Hospice in Leamington. Doreen Thibert, our host, is the Coordinator of Education at The Hospice of Windsor Essex County.
