About Renaissance Funeral Home and Atria Oakridge
Heather Hill is a funeral director at Renaissance Funeral Home in Raleigh, NC. Heather is new to the funeral industry and feels that her past careers in the healthcare field and traveling the world as a flight attendant has led her to this passion. The opportunity to work with families in their time of need is a calling and Heather takes a personal approach when helping families. She also advocates for green burial, end of life care and providing meaningful memorial services. Heather is a recent widow and is raising three children along with the help of her close family and friends. Having experienced such a profound loss in her life, she can connect with others at their level and offer support and a shoulder to lean on.
Robin Simonton has been the Executive Director of Historic Oakwood Cemetery since November of 2011. Robin holds a BA in US History from the University of Hawaii and an MA in Historical Administration from Eastern Illinois University. Previously, she was the Program and Volunteer Services Executive at Girl Scouts — North Carolina Coastal Pines. Robin served as the researcher of the book Oahu Cemetery: Burial Ground & Historic Site, written by Nanette Napoleon in 1997. Robin and her husband Jeff live in Raleigh with their son, Cullen.
