About this Death Cafe

Joe and Jamie feel that it's important to hold a safe, judgement-free space for the community to talk about death, dying, grief, and whatever else comes up in a bar with dead animals on the walls.

Joe has been cool enough to offer Pints & Union as the meeting space for this cafe and future events like this, so we're pretty stoked on his generosity. 

The event itself will be super-chill. We'll introduce ourselves, you'll introduce yourselves, we'll eat Hunter's ridiculously incredible sweet treat (that he so kindly offered to make us!), drink tea, and you'll be able to purchase food and other beverages (alcoholic or not) at the bar. 

Leave your timidity at the door and bring your worries and fears upstairs. If nothing else, we bet you'll find at least one other person who has the same question or conundrum as you, and it always feels pretty freaking rad to be seen and known. 

About Joe Phillips

Jamie Yeager (Facilitator) is a homemaker and mother of three who loves live music and a spicy mocktail. She is currently studying to offer end-of-life support to the dying and to the family/friends of those who are passing on. 

Joe Phillips (Host/Facilitator) is a father, business owner, and entrepreneur who believes in the power of community. He strives to offer a safe space for the misfits and wanderers alike, and his intention with everything he puts his name on is to be inclusive and intentional.
