About this Death Cafe

We thought it time that Death Cafe came to Kingston to give people a chance to chat in a safe and open space about all that concerns them about death and dying and the experiences they or thers have had.

We look forward to hosting this in a central and historic building in the heart of Kingston.

We will also be holding an afternoon Death Cafe on 11th Novemebr 1-3pm.

About Dr Sharon Young and Ann Fairhall

Sharon has been cofacilitating Death Cafe Hampstead for a longer period and has a background in intensive care and rehabilitation physiotherapy. Her PhD researched end of life and how human rights, dignity and choice are understood in this context. 

Ann has worked in palliative care for many years both in a hospice and community setting. She has faciltiated support groups and workshops for bereaved adults and children and those diagnosed with a serious or terminal illness.
