About this Death Cafe
Now more than ever, we need to connect and "see" the Angel... embrace the Angel in each other. One way we can do is through Zoom!
I want to be a part of the global conversation about living AND dying. Providing a "safe space" for folks to gather and feel comfortable talking about death—without an agenda—gives me a warm feeling of caring and connection.
Please visit embracetheangel.com and join us at the Annapolis Death Cafe. All are welcome!
About Patti DiMiceli
My experience with my 4 year old daugher, Amber's death in 1980, was heartbreaking. It was also miraculous, powerful, and profound—the exact opposite of what I had imagined.
Bernie Siegel was her doctor and he helped us help her "Cross the Threshold" in a mindful, loving, beautiful way. Grateful for his guidance, I learned that there was another way to look at life and death: To embrace both.
And so I wrote "Embrace the Angel." (A free eBook is available on our website.) It reminds us that by embracing our angel, we can truly live a life of meaning and purpose.
Amber's words of wisdom elevate and sustain me. A few days before she died, she said, "Mom, when I die, I'll still be Amber, I'll just be different" She never left me. She simply changed.
I am blessed.
