About this Death Cafe
Hello and welcome to Death Cafe Hyndburns first event,
This event is being held at the wonderful Space 2 Make in Accrington - a cosy and welcoming venue with exceptionally yummy home made cakes and lovely pots of tea (or coffee) for you to purchase on the night.
The Death cafe event offers a safe, welcoming and relaxed space where we can enjoy an evening of talking with others about our thoughts and feelings about loss, death and dying - by connecting with death we can connect more fully to our lives.
Take a look here for what to expect of you haven't been to a Death Cafe previously - http://deathcafe.com/
It isn't a professional bereavement environment and as such if you need specific support regarding this then it is really important that you seek further support from your GP / Family.
l have many years of professional experience in supporting people through difficult situations and will be around all evening to ensure that the conversations remain shared, with everyone having a chance to talk.
The topics are not structured and the format for the evening is casual and relaxed, it goes along these lines...
*Arrive a little before 7pm and purchase yummy cakes and drinks at Space2Make should you wish to (please support the cafe if you can)
*Sit with others on tables of around 5 people.
*A brief introduction to the evening from me.
*A good chat with like minded others.
*Closing remarks around 8.45pm and a chance to share your thoughts on the evening.
*9pm the event finishes.
Spaces are limited as this is a cosy venue - you will need to email me on claire.waddington11@gmail.com to secure your place if you do wish to attend. This way l wont miss your message on Facebook / messenger.
To engage with death is to engage with life ♥
Hoping to see you there,
Take care
Claire
