About this Death Cafe

Interested in talking about death? A Death Café is a place for people to come talk about death without feeling judged. There is no agenda and we are not trying to sell you anything, you simply come to talk about death. We talk about the things you want to talk about. This event was mistakenly scheduled on Mother's Day, but we aren't cancelling it. Maybe this connects with you? You're welcome to bring stories, experiences, and show-and-tells. Anything "death" is welcome, so that maybe we can help each other "make the most of [our] (finite) lives."

About Samuel Perry

Samuel Perry is a licensed mortician, green burial advocate and Anatomy Curator at the SIU School of Medicine. Death is always in his life, and he likes it that way. The reminder of his inevitable demise helps him live a more humble, full and honest life.
