About this Death Cafe
This is the first Death Cafe being held at Woodbine Heights Baptist Church. Intrigued by the notion and inspired by the practice and guidelines promoted by the founders, we anticipate honest, open, respectful and engaging conversation about the one thing everyone faces: death. We will also drink tea and eat cake. Just Desserts for all!
About bob paterson-watt
bob paterson-watt is the pastor at WHBC, and has been since September 2000. He is invovled in all aspects of congregational life, including 'normal' pastoral roles, but also food bank operations for nearly 10 years. and direct involvement in the Woodbine Heights Drama Club for the past five years. In his first church, a small rural parish, the local funeral home director nicknamed him 'burying bob' because he was the go-to protestant and non-affiliated funeral officiant for the surrounding area. He has not yet put that on his card.
