This is to be an open conversation cafe - respectful listening and honouring all stories.
I will provide coffee, tea and cake.
About Ruth Boydell
I am a death doula; interested in all things to do with death and dying. I am particularly interested in spiritual care and have been training as a pastoral practitioner.
My specific area of interest is in the social model of home of home hospice and palliation and making the most of our end-of-life at home wherever possible.
I have been a TAFE teacher and sailing instructor for over 30 years until a medical experience in 2017 left me questioning my mortality and my fears around death.
I run a Death Cafe in Newcastle on a monthly basis. Usually run on the 3rd Sunday in month in 2019 (except April when it will be the 4th Sunday due to Easter).
