About this Death Cafe
Although a natural part of the life cycle, death, dying, bereavement and grief are some of our bigger conversational taboos. This space will provide an opportunity for individuals of any background, religion, culture or belief to meet together in a non-judgemental environment to talk about aspects of a much feared subject feared by many.
Meetings are informal, insightful and far from morbid so take the opportunity to come, share, learn and discuss in a safe, friendly and relaxed environment.
Attendees are invited to steer the conversation in any direction they wish so whether you have an area of interest you want to discuss, a burning question you'd like to ask or you just want to listen; we gather at 10-12n on the last Saturday of each month.
About Serenity Gardens
Debi is an Independent Life Cycle Celebrant serving families with end of life ceremonies, memorials and other events that honour life's milestones.
She believes that talking openly about death, dying and bereavement may help us to accept the reality of our immortality as part of life and let go of some of the fears we face. The goal is to help people embrace life, live more fully in the present and honour death by providing a safe environment for conversations to take place.
