About this Death Cafe
The aim of the Death Cafe movement is to increase awareness of death in order to help people make the most of their finite lives. Everyone is welcome.
Death Cafes are not for profit and have no agenda, objectives, advertising or themes - the conversations that happen are entirely dependent on the people who turn up.
They are not grief support or counseling sessions.
Feel free to get in touch if you'd like to find out more to help you decide whether you'd like to come along.
This Death Cafe will be at the Unitarian Society of Hartford Meetinghouse. All are welcome. The building is fully accessible.
About Miriam and Kay
Miriam: I am an artist who explores themes of death in my work. I've been interested in helping to shift our culture of death denial to one of accptance.
Kay: I'm an English teacher who spends a lot of time talking to teens about death. In my spare time I also write and death always finds a way of sneaking into my stories.
