About this Death Cafe
This is an open forum for people who live at Tahoe Senior Plaza and for the public. Topics are selected by individuals who attend. All are invited and encouraged to participate in the discussions. Paula has facilitated seven prior death cafes, all successful. She encourages deep questioning and is very accepting of all belief systems. Attendees report they feel honored and heard.
About Tahoe Senior Plaza
Paula Schneider, MPH, BSN, RN is a retired RN of 37 years. She served as a hospice RN case manager for ten years. The purpose of this death cafe is to assist people become less afraid of the death process by discussing important topics related to the spirituality of death and dying ahead of time.
Karan Sjolin, MSW is a social worker with experience and training in thanatology. She currently works as a services coordinator for ABHOW.
