About this Death Cafe

After experiencing more than my fair share of bereavements in recent years, I now love creating compassionate spaces that enable people to talk openly about death and all of the issues surrounding it.

I passionately believe that lifting the taboos around death is enriching, enlightening and ultimately empowering. It can on occasion even be entertaining! 

County Durham Death Cafe is very friendly & informal, hosted in a beautiful coffee shop known for its super coffee and cakes!

A warm welcome awaits, and we look forward to meeting you at our gathering of open hearts and minds...

Annette Jeffrey is an independent Family Celebrant, and a Meditation & Mindfulness trainer.

She is also a Pet Bereavement Counsellor.

Annette describes herself as an artisan celebrant, and a Responsible Rebel!
