★★What is Death Cafe?★★
A concept originated from UK by Jon Underwood which was strongly influenced by Bernard Crettaz.
The objective of Death Café is to create more conversations on life and death so that participants could appreciate life more.
“In my experience, when people talk about death and dying, all their pretences disappear”.
--- Founder of Death Café, Jon Underwood
★★Death Cafe Flow★★
1. Walk into the venue with an open mind, register yourself, collect your receipt, and place your bag accordingly.
2. Select your choice of beverages and “kuih” if preferred.
3. Pick a comfortable seat of your choice among the 9 sets of seating in the venue.
4. Get to know the people sitting near you.
5. There will be soft music playing in the background.
6. The facilitator will introduce the objective and procedure of Death Café.
7. Just relax and allow yourself to express your own thoughts and listen to the experience of others.
8. It is recommended that while listening, refrain from giving advice, analyze and compare. It is
encouraged that you ask more, share more, and express care.
9. Every 30 minutes, the facilitator will exhort you to switch seats and discuss with the other group,
for a broader and more complete experience.
10. 15 minutes before the event ends, all will come together for a group photo.
★★Who Can Join?★★
Anyone above the age of 21, who are open to talk about life and death.
