About this Death Cafe
Michelle has been moved by the potential of these intimate conversations to openly confront both our shared humanity and mortality, and to moreover bring people together. She is looking forward to continue to approach larger questions of "What is life? death?" through the lens of lived experiences.
About Michelle Chang
Michelle Chang is a current psychology student of Stanford University who has been involved with death cafes in Northern California. In commemorating a high school friend who died a year ago, she won a grant from Stanford to host a "traveling death cafe" of sorts. This summer, she is driving across the country to attend and host death cafes, and overall talk with folks about death. She has already stopped in California, New Mexico, and North Dakota!
