About this Death Cafe
It's been a super hot summer and their are trees and shade! Since our first death cafe five or six years ago was held at a large camping festival it is a nod to that outdoor experience.
There are no official sponsors of this death cafe.
About Sherry Gilles
Sherry Gilles is a retired RN, a Death Midwife and a facilitator of death cafes in the Champaine-Urbana area. She is also blind.
She is assisted by Raymond T. Anderson, musicologist, in facilitating death cares. He is also blind.
Neither are strangers to death and loss but are quite willing to entertain the idea that we are all going to die.
Both are members of local choirs and, periodically, assist with helping churches improve accessibility for blind and mobility impaired people.
