About this Death Cafe
Death Cafes are an opportunity for people to people to gather, eat snacks, and talk about death. These not-for-profit events are not intended "to lead people to any conclusion other than to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives.”
Death Cafes, based on the work of Bernard Crettaz, were first held by Jon Underwood in
Great Britain and were brought to the United States by Lizzy Miles. There is no cost to attend.
Please join us for what will surely be a rich conversation. For more information email Justin Magnuson, Justin@livingfullyky.com or visit the Death Cafe Louisville Facebook page.
About Justin Magnuson and Jen Weidner
Hosted by Justin Magnuson and Jen Weidner. Justin has been hosting Death Cafes since 2014. He always finds the conversations thought provoking and enjoys learning about other people’s experiences and perspectives. Jen, library circulation clerk and graduate school student, was raised in a family that spoke feely of death and dying and has always been curious how others view death and how they deal with the loss of a loved one. She feels the more we know about death the better we can live our lives and be prepared for the end of life
