About this Death Cafe
We love talking about death! We believe these conversations are healthy and enjoyable and allow us a greater acceptance of our own mortality. Past Death Cafes have included laughter, sometimes tears, and of course refreshments. There is nothing morbid about our time together and we always leave feeling that it was a very worthwhile way to spend our time!

Catherine Cannon is a grief Edu-TherapyTM specialist who conducts workshops out of the church. Www.chcannon.ca
Laurie Borland is a Treatment Decisions Consultant at the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee who makes medical decisions (re:medication, surgery, long term care placement, palliative care etc.) for people who have been found incapable of making the proposed decision(s) and who have no higher ranked Substitute Decision Maker(s) willing, available and capable of acting on their behalf.
