About this Death Cafe
This will be the third North Enfield Death Cafe. It is held in a full access community resource centre. Like all Death Cafes, this one has no agenda other than to converse and share ideas and feelings about death, while eating cakes and sipping tea together. It is NOT a therapy or bereavement group. Our objective is shared by all Death Cafes: "to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives."

About Derek Grant
I am a retired university lecturer, psychotherapist and counsellor (NHS and private practice). I am an enthusiastic volunteer at the Forty Hall Community Vineyard. I'm also a street photographer (people and places), love music and other forms of expression, am interested in oral history and personal narrative. Last year I discovered the life-enhancing Death Cafe movement and have since attended 6, plus two North Enfield Death Cafes. I'm an energetic septuagenarian who relishes and embraces life whilst accepting the reality of death.
