About this Death Cafe
At this Albuquerque Death Cafe, attendees have the opportunity to talk about what's on their hearts and minds about mortality issues. As the conversation allows, there will be a preview of all the death-positive events to start end-of-life conversations at the Before I Die ABQ Festival, taking place at multiple locations around town October 20-25, 2017. This includes two additional Death Cafe events to take place on Monday, October 23 and Tuesday, October 24.
About Gail Rubin, CT
Gail Rubin, Certified Thanatologist, is the author of three upbeat books on end-of-life issues. She uses humor and funny film clips to break down resistance to talking about serious subjects like death and funeral planning. Gail was the first person in the U.S. west of the Mississippi to hold a Death Cafe in September of 2012, and she is pioneering the inaugural Before I Die ABQ Festival October 20-25, 2017.
