Magdalena Ecke YMCA is sponsoring this event. It is open to anyone over age eighteen in the community. Participants are asked to register in advance and non-members must check-in at the front desk. Attendance will be limited to twenty-five.

About Kent Johnson & Carol Benton
Kent Johnson co-hosted the first Death Cafe in north county, in Carlsbad, in May 2014. Kent Johnson is a graduate of SDSU in Social Sciences where he was introduced to the early work on death and dying conducted by Elizabeth Kubler-Ross. He has been a volunteer with Lightbridge Hospice in San Diego for more than ten years and has served on the advisory committee for the Lightbridge Hospice Community Foundation. Kent's day job is residential real estate sales at Berkshire Hathaway Home Services where he has been a broker associate for over twenty years. He is also an aspiring woodworker.
Carol Benton is a certified counselor with the Interchange Institute and is the principal of Optimize.life, a company that offers counseling and concierge services for personal transformation. In 2016 Carol co-hosted Death Cafe with Kent in Encinitas.
Ann Conway is the Member Engagement Director at Magdalena Ecke YMCA in Encinitas.
