About this Death Cafe
To increase awareness of the benefits of mindfully accepting death as a part of everyday life, Circle of Friends for the Dying brings the 40th CFD Death Cafe to YOU of the Mid-Hudson Valley. CFD is a not-for-profit organization just about ready to open the first "Home for the Dying" south of the preceding Homes (25) in NYS. Volunteers and professional staff will maintain an emphasis on comfort and quality of life for the terminally ill who have a prognosis of three months or less to live. What is needed now to accept the first residents, are funds to renovate the house purchased in Kingston, NY. There will be a presentation before the Death Cafe to look closer at “How a Home for the Dying Inspires a Good Death.”
The 40th CFD Death Cafe will be on Wednesday, July 12, Northern Dutchess Hospital, Cafeteria Conference Room, Rhinebeck, NY. It is free and open to the public. Come and come again and take part in the conversation. The CFD Death Cafe is not a grief support group. It is a group of people coming together to learn from each other. Bring a friend if you’d like. Donations gratefully accepted.
