About this Death Cafe

Gina knows first hand the value of sharing and how carthartic that can be. She is a natural empath and has spent time in the past as a volunteer at Hospiscare with those nearing the end of their life.  Gina has a deep belief in the power and benefits of people working in the Community.

Aly believes that talking about Death and Dying is not taboo.  'We need to get back to the time when Death was treated as part of life.  At a Death Cafe there can be sadness and grief but there is joy, laughter, support and honesty too'

Subjects at Death Cafes we have both hosted have ranged from the practical aspects of planning for the end of life so wishes and choices are respected to what happens after death, to overcoming fear of death and dying, to honouring our finite lives  to greif and bereavement.  But there is no agenda - people can talk about whatever is important for them.  Please do join us, there will be a warm welcome, tea, coffee, cake and a great conversation.
