About this Death Cafe

Both Sherry and Raymond are comfortable talking about death having sustained many losses early in life.

Sherry writes poetry, much of it with an existential twist and Raymond has a great speaking voice.

We are very happy that we are able to offer this death cafe at the library. The library prides itself on openminddness but is not a sponsor of the event. We planned this as a public event and expect to serve muffins and tea for refreshments.

The location is very accessible and is on the bus line. The bus stop is at Green and Vine which is right across the street.

About Sherry Gilles and Raymond Anderson

Sherry Gilles is a trained Certified Death Midwife and retired Registered Nurse. She lives in Champaign, IL and is active in two local choirs. She has hosted several death cafes in the past few years. Raymond T. Anderson is trained as a musicologist and has assisted at previous death cafes.
