About this Death Cafe
I'm passionate about expanding options, specifically for elders, to truly die with dignity. But dignity defined by them and not by the medical industry.
I'm interested, on a personal level, in shifting thinking about death and am hungry for safe spaces to hear what others are experiencing or concerned about related to their own, and loved one's deaths.
I try to live by the saying "today is a good day to die"
About Lyndall, Susan, Musa
I'm a gerontologist and eldercare coach. I am teaming up with my sis-in-law, Susan Hudson, and Musa Ndlangamandla, journalist, to provide the needed space for conversations about death so that it is no longer an "exiled" topic in our society. Musa contacted me in the U.S.A. where I have run Death Cafes for almost 3 years, and wanted to bring the movement to South Africa. As a Buddhist and wise woman, Susan is curious about this movement and has offered to host it.
