About this Death Cafe

This special event Death Cafe will be focusing on 'end of year, end of life' challenges. While the cafe is open for everyone wanting to talk about death and dying, this cafe will put more of an ephasis on loved ones who may have died in 2013 or perhaps this is an anniversary of their death. As well, during the holiday season, sadness and grief may be particularly strong. 

I will be providing a safe, supportive space for sharing stories and memories.

We will end the cafe with thoughts on beginning a new year with possibility, purpose, and passion, while at the same time acknowledging those we love who have died, who will be born, and those we have in our lives now.

About Ava Reyerson

Ava is a Counsellor and Behavioural Scientist who specialises in facilitating conversations about death, dying, life and living. Along with the Death Café, she also facilitates her workshop called 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Death' where she takes participants on a journey to death and back, leaving them inspired to live now, love now, and always be prepared to let go. Ava has experienced the deaths of many loved ones over her lifetime. Her motto is 'begin with the end in mind'...and she indeed lives each day with her end in mind, whenever that day will come.
