About this Death Cafe
Kent co-hosted the first north San Diego County Death Cafe with Sarito Sun in Carlsbad in 2014, and repeated it in 2015.
This year we will be in a new venue at Temple Solel in Cardiff and we will be meeting on a Tuesday evening.
No two Death Cafe's are alike. Our intention is to create an environment where participants will feel comfortable taking part in open and genuine conversation, sharing their thoughts and feelings. We trust in the process of human interaction in a safe environment where we can appreciate our common humanity and our common mortality.
We believe that Death Cafe conversations will help us live more fulfilling lives with greater purpose and greater awareness.
This event will be limited to 24 participants. Confirmed registration is required to attend.
About Kent Johnson
Kent Johnson is a graduate of SDSU in Social Sciences where he was introduced to the early work on death and dying conducted by Elizabeth Kubler-Ross. He has been a volunteer with Lightbridge Hospice in San Diego for more than ten years and has served on the advisory committee for the Lightbridge Hospice Community Foundation. Kent's day job is residential real estate sales at Berkshire Hathaway Home Services where he has been a broker associate for over twenty years. He is also an aspiring woodworker.
