About this Death Cafe

Are you interested in the subject of death but find that lots of people don't want to discuss it?  Perhaps you are elderly and it is on your mind, perhaps you are facing loved ones dying or are thinking about your own death.  Maybe you are just curious?  Younger or older, you are not alone.  There are people who are keen to explore the subject from different standpoints and have lively conversation about it whilst enjoying delicious coffee and cake.  This is not a bereavement group, nor is it group therapy, it is an open forum to talk about a taboo subject which we must all face one way or another in the end.

About Katrina Taee and Jane Flynn

Katrina is a senior accredited counsellor, a soul midwife (similar to a death doula) and ex-nurse with a special interest in end of life issues, end of life care and grief and bereavement.  Jane has a property business, is a healer and also a soul midwife.  We are great friends, and find many common interests which come together in our passion for running Death Cafes and bringing this much needed space to our community.  We are not bad bakers either, and we like to think we create a friendly and safe environment to discuss the things that are hard to discuss elsewhere sometimes.
