About Maureen Spencer

I’m Maureen, a counsellor, death doula, and the person behind Bookends Counselling. My work has always centred around walking alongside people through the moments in life that can feel difficult, uncertain, or deeply meaningful; including grief, loss, life transitions, and the end of life. As a death doula, I’ve come to appreciate how powerful it can be to simply have a safe place to talk about death, dying, and what matters most to us.
