About this Death Cafe
We run it in a lovely public community space which is also a gallery for local artists. The union Unite sponsor the hire of the space, and Co-op provide us with free refreshments. We run 4 Death cafes a year but are hoping to make them more regular.
About Kate Stoddart
The Death cafe is managed and delivered by a great team:
Kate Stoddart, facilitator, is a humanist wedding and funeral celebrant, with an arts background.
Anne Sadler, a community champion who brought the DC to Belper after her daughter in London told her about it, and continues to support and champion each Death Cafe.
Christine Jordan, arranges bookings, another wonderful community person, who also liaises with sponsor, welcomes people in and supports the facilitator.
