About this Death Cafe
Gilmer Arts is sponsoring this event because Paula has been one of our artists and her husband is a teacher at our gallery. Doug Rice has been a writer and volunteer for Gilmer Arts for many years. When they brought this idea to us we had just hosted Paula's book launch and the turnout was really good, making us realize this is an important part of our cultural growth.
About Paula Acree
Paula Acree is a grief counselor who has worked in ministry and with groups. She has recently written a grief workbook. She is joined by Doug Rice, a death doula in beginning this program
