About this Death Cafe

Leuven Death Cafe is hosted together with the International House of Leuven. We find it important to make sure there are also English speaking events about death and grief in a Dutch speaking city. We believe it's important for everyone to have spaces to talk about death, end of life, how culture plays a role, and whatever else the participants want to explore. The differing perspectives and experiences shared at Death Cafes adds to the richness and depth of the event. We look forward to welcoming you! 

About Candace Phoenix

Candace loves helping to create authentic spaces for connection, as a teacher, funeral assistant, and civil servant. She has a professional background in teaching and communication, where she emphasizes creating safe and warm spaces for exchange. She's very grateful to help launch the Death Cafe initiative in Leuven.
