About this Death Cafe
We hope the Death Cafe in Stroud is like any other DC, run on the principles we have all signed up to. The cafe is licensed which is a welcome option but otherwise we trust in tea and cake to work their magic. We ask for a voluntary contribution to share the cost of the venue. We meet every other month, alernately with the DC in Nailsworth, a few miles away.
About David Lambert and Martin Jacques
David is a part-time assistant undertaker with Family Tree, Stroud's independent Funeral Directors. Since his involvement with Extinction Rebellion he has become increasingly interested in regenerative culture and community resilience.
Martin Jacques is a highly regarded and well-known Stroud community activist. Among many other projects he is responsible for Sladebank Woods, which for more than twenty five years has been connecting people with nature.
