About this Death Cafe
No agenda, no loaded questions, no being forced to talk. If you want a space to have it simply be okay to acknowledge death as a function of being a human on this lovely planet of ours, this is the space for you.
About Laurel LaFayette
Laurel LaFayette is a Snohomish County resident drawn to the intersection of community, care, and honest conversation about death and dying.
She is currently training as a hospice companion with Hospice of the Northwest, where she is deepening her commitment to end-of-life care and grief support. A longtime participant in death-positive community spaces, Laurel believes that open, judgment-free conversation about mortality is one of the most meaningful gifts we can offer one another.
She is hosting this Death Cafe as part of her ongoing journey into end-of-life work — and because she knows firsthand how much it matters to have a safe space to ask the hard questions.
