About this Death Cafe

The venue is air-conditioned and accessible. 

We love talking about death! We believe these conversations are healthy and enjoyable and allow us a greater acceptance of our own mortality. Past Death Cafes have included laughter, sometimes tears, and of course refreshments. There is nothing morbid about our time together and we always leave feeling that it was a very worthwhile way to spend our time!

About Evelyn Ward & Rose Flaig

Ev is an intuitive creative artist and musician who enjoys creating meaningful spaces for personal growth and  inner healing. She is trained in the Circle Way and is a Holding Space Practitioner. After a 40 year marriage she was widowed in 2018.

Rose is a self-described Possibilityist (optimist on a mission). She is an advocate for equality,

inclusion, and diversity. A long-time community volunteer, Rose was a founding member of two

Manitoba non-profit organizations. She leans into collaborating as a writer and facilitator. Her approach to the topic of death is both philosophical and practical.
