Did you know Albuquerque was the first U.S. city west of the Mississippi to hold a Death Cafe? Each event includes Lola, the ABQ Death Cafe mascot - a life size plastic skeleton dressed for the season.
About Gail Rubin, CT
Gail Rubin, CT, the Doyenne of Death®, is a pioneer of the Death Cafe movement in the United States. She gave a well-received TED talk on end-of-life issues in Albuquerque in September 2015 (see a video at https://youtu.be/AHLixba1828).
Gail is the author of A Good Goodbye: Funeral Planning for Those Who Don't Plan to Die and Hail and Farewell: Cremation Ceremonies, Templates and Tips. She's a Certified Thanatologist (a death educator) and a Certified Funeral Celebrant.
