About this Death Cafe
Death Cafe Petaluma was created to offer a welcoming, judgment-free space where people can come together to talk openly about death, grief, loss, and the realities of being human. These conversations are not intended to lead people toward any conclusion or agenda, but instead to help normalize discussions around mortality, deepen connection, and encourage more meaningful living. Events are held in a relaxed community setting with thoughtful conversation, tea, and refreshments, and are open to anyone curious about exploring these topics with others. Death Cafe Petaluma is hosted by Heather Lenehan in partnership with Blue Zones Project Petaluma.
About Heather Lenehan
Heather Lenehan is a grief-informed community facilitator, cemetery professional, and host of Death Cafe Petaluma through Blue Zones Project Petaluma. With over a decade of experience in death care and cemetery operations, she is passionate about creating welcoming spaces for open conversations around grief, death, and meaningful living. Heather is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Mental Health & Wellness with an emphasis in Grief & Bereavement, further deepening her work in community support, education, and compassionate connection.
