About this Death Cafe

The café will be held in small table groups of no more than 4–5 people to help create a comfortable space for conversation. This event is open to the community, and cake and beverages will be available. Participants are welcome to share or simply listen.

About Tiffany Marx

Tiffany is a senior at Western Oregon University studying gerontology. She has spent over 15 years farming in the local community and has volunteered in hospice, women’s crisis centers, and shelters. Her interests include rural communities and mental health, and she is especially drawn to creating spaces where people can connect through honest conversation. As part of her capstone project, she created this event to bring people of all ages together to talk openly about death. While this is not a grief or therapy support event, it is intended to be a welcoming place for reflection, curiosity, and shared perspectives.
