About this Death Cafe

Far from being awkward or morbid, these discussions are informative,

open, friendly and supportive.There can even be humour, as people

begin to make connections, ask questions and find relief in talking openly with others who share similar thoughts, fears or experiences. It’s FREE, just turn up a few minutes early so we can start promptly: cafe facilities are sadly closed so you’re welcome to bring your own drink. Biscuits are provided and a small donation is gratefully accepted.
Due to the occasionally intimate nature of these meetings, we ask you not to arrive late as it can be disruptive, nor to leave early for the same reason thank you.

We are grateful to The Old Fire Station for kindly making the Cafe available for free.

Joelle Mann is a retired therapist and Green Fuse funeral celebrant and a Soul Midwife.

David Thurston is a Buddhist and retired GP and psychiatrist.

Alan Ross Bingham has worked in many terminal care hospices in the US.
