About this Death Cafe

Join local facilitators in the Laurel Room at the Sunnyvale Senior Center for a discussion of death over tea and snacks. 

At a Death Cafe, people - often strangers - gather to discuss death. We invite people in ALL phases of life to come talk about death and dying in a supportive, unstructured way.

Our shared objective is to increase awareness of death with a view towards helping people make the most of their (finite) lives. Expect a group discussion of death with no agenda, objectives, or themes. It is a place to talk and explore, rather than a grief support or counseling session. This Death Cafe is open to, and respectful of, people of all communities and belief systems. 

This will be a confidential space. We ask all participants to refrain from giving advice, criticizing another's beliefs, or offering unsolicited feedback; no products or services will be promoted.

This event is free. This program is for adults only. Registration is not required.

Please arrive early to get yourself a warm beverage so we can begin as close to 1pm as possible. We will close the doors at 1:10 to minimize disruptions.
